Page Pierre and Professor Daniel Oyon of the Page Pierre Foundation visited the Sevalaya Nilgiris hospital, where they were warmly welcomed by the staff and students. The visit provided an opportunity to learn about Sevalaya’s healthcare and educational initiatives. S R Priyadharshini, Centre Head, Gudalur, Sevalaya gave the team a tour of the hospital, showing its facilities and services. They met students from the Community College studying Nursing Assistant and Lab Technician courses, encouraging them in their medical education and career development. The team also visited the laboratory, which supports practical training for students, and saw a new lab under construction to expand the hospital’s services. They then visited the tailoring training centre, where students are getting hands-on experience. The tour continued to Koovamoola, where they visited an evening learning centre for tribal education. The tribal community welcomed the guests with traditional music and dance, which impressed the visitors. In a kind gesture, Page Pierre and his team distributed refreshments, including juice, chocolates, peanut burfi, and biscuits, to the tribal communities.
