Sevalaya Samaritan Distributes 100 Blankets to Tribal People in Rain-Affected Areas of

Pandalur Taluk, Gudalur – 11th July 2024

In an effort to support those affected by the recent floods, Sevalaya Samaritan distributed 100

blankets to the tribal communities of Pandalur Taluk in The Nilgiris district. The heavy rains in

Gudalur have severely impacted several villages, including Manal Vayal, Ambalamoola, Mulan

Vayal, Ayanipura, and the surrounding regions. The provision of these blankets will provide

warmth and comfort to the tribal people.

Sevalaya Samaritan Gramodharan Samithy (SSGS), a NGO, has been tirelessly working to

improve the living conditions of the underprivileged, with a special focus on the tribal

communities in and around Gudalur, Nilgiris District, South India.

In the healthcare sector, Sevalaya Samaritan’s hospital has provided critical medical care to

over 1,100 beneficiaries annually, ensuring access to essential treatments and health services.

The organisation’s After School Study Centre (Tuition Centres) plays a pivotal role in enhancing    

educational outcomes, supporting over 200 students with supplementary education and

resources.
